Blogs About Travel

Hello again! Before I start getting into personal stories of how I have adjusted I wanted to introduce some other blogs. I looked at all of these blogs and gave a brief description, as well as the pros and cons of each. Please, let me know what you think.

  • I enjoyed reading this blog because it was much raw more raw. Unlike some of these other links, this blog was about one man’s travels all around the world. He also includes interviews with people, and his own personal stories. However, I don’t like the fact that there isn’t much content on each post. That being said, I think this is the most interesting blog out of the four here.

  • The Guardian blog is very clean and does a very good job at providing in depth stories and good topics for public debate. While the blog is not as entertaining as the everywhere blog, it does offer much better informative information.

  • I like this blog because it incorporates both a informal opinion about what to look at in Europe, but at the same time it has some formal content. The posts are sometimes really in depth and insightful; however, they are also sometimes a little vague and further research is necessary in order to know all the details of the location. The set up is a little crammed because there are two columns on the right, and the posts look like they have to get squeezed together.

  • Travel-Rants is by far the best blog if you are looking for information on how to travel. It offers interesting insight and people’s own experiences help the reader learn what to and not do. It is very colorful and catches the eyes of any of its readers; however, besides the header being so colorful the rest of the site is dull. For being more of an informal site it probably needs to have more color.

  • This Travel blog does a nice job of informing its readers.  It gives a lot of information about traveling all throughout and region and people do comment on the information. There aren’t too many comments, but the website does offer valuable information. The critiques with this website are that the layout is pretty scrambled, and I don’t like that advertisements are the first thing you see in the post section.

THROUGH THE EYES OF A FOREIGNER

Hello everybody! This blog is about moving to a new place and adjusting to a new culture. I have moved from San Diego, California to Sunderland, UK. I am going to try to give readers a first hand approach on what it’s like to move with my own experiences. In my posts I will first go into a broad outline of the topic in general and try give a few pointers, and then I will talk about my own personal experiences adjusting to a new place. This blog is going to cover a wide variety of things and if there is anything you would like me to cover, let me know.

I always welcome feedback and comments on anything I write because I am always learning and adjusting myself. If there is one thing you takeaway from reading my blog, it would be to always have a open mind. If you are moving to a new place and in most cases you don’t really know anyone yet, it will only hurt you if you go into the situation with a closed mind. So please let me know what you think.

And don’t forget please leave comments, and ill get right back to you.

Hope you enjoy.

Cheers!
